Position : Occupational Therapist Job Opening
Clinical assessment and treatment of patients referred by a licensed physician.
Evaluates patient's need for occupational therapy and develops appropriate treatment plan. Refers patient to other professionals or agencies when appropriate.
Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
Coordinate and communicate treatment activities with health care team members and the patient, instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate occupational therapy techniques.
Contribute to the professional development of new staff and health professional students.
Weekend rotation expected.
Conducting physical and psychological assessments of clients and developing or following a treatment plan.
Assessing home and work environments of clients and deciding what adjustments are needed.
Advising on adaptive equipment to help clients with daily activities.
Developing physical rehabilitation programs to help clients regain lost skills.
Preparing clients for a return to work.
Educating caregivers and family members of clients on patient care.
Evaluating results and progress of occupational therapy on clients.
Maintaining professional knowledge and the technical progress in order to provide clients with the best treatment program available.
