Position : Ambulatory Care Nurse
Using the Nursing Process, collect and analyze patient data, make recommendations for nursing care plans, evaluate nursing care provided, document and communicate appropriately nursing actions taken and patient responses.
Identify professional nursing care needs for patient populations in ambulatory settings. Provide leadership in the development of standards of care, patient/family education and staff education to address the needs of specific populations. Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team and provide leadership within ambulatory care delivery systems.
Appraise quality and effectiveness of supplies and equipment and collaborate with appropriate departments to assist with vendor selection and feedback on performance.
Guide the professional growth of others across the continuum of care through role modeling, coaching and/or mentoring, to include designing orientation modules and precepting nursing students.
Provide leadership at a departmental, entity, community or regional/national level for initiatives focused on improving the quality of care for populations of patients and growth of others. Apply management skills as a team leader to supervise and delegate care, promote shared goals to ensure positive care outcomes.
