Position : Perioperative Nurse
The role of the perioperative nurse is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery, surgical procedures, and endoscopic procedures.
The operating room nurse job description also includes the role of patient educator, circulating nurse, and or scrub nurse potentially with additional training.
Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurse handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
To work as a scrub OR nurse requires additional training as stated above.
Pre-op and Post-op nurse work in the PACU area.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current registered nursing license in good standing with the Montana state board of nurse examiners, minimum of one (1) year OR experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience, cognitive skills as related to the position.
