Job Details


Decontaminates and cleans reusable equipment and/or supplies and associated storage units in accordance with department, manufacturer, and OSHA standards.

Assembles, stores, and distributes reusable medical equipment and/or supplies for Rounds assigned areas to ensure equipment and/or supplies and storage units are maintained in a timely manner.

Performs and documents quality control aspects of sterile processing.

Maintains records and documentation of for all aspects of instrument processing and the sterilization process.

Adheres to proper infection control and safety practices. Ensures proper handling of instruments and equipment to prevent damage or loss.

Monitors for equipment and/or supplies in need of repair or replacement and notifies appropriate department personnel.

Sorts, assembles and packs surgical instruments, trays and supplies following established protocol, recipe card, and/or manufacturer’s instructions. Assembles case carts for surgeries.

Monitors and maintains shelf inventory in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing department. 

Flexes work hours to support the needs of the department and overtime if appropriate.

Afternoons/Evenings 1 PM-9 PM (M-F); on call every 4-5 weekend rotation
