Position : Critical Access Nurse
RN’s assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
RN’s also Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients and may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
Plan, coordinates and provides total patient care specific to diagnosis and age of patients served on a continuing basis, to obtain optimum health for patient and family, in accordance with a accepted hospital standards and policy and the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act.
Employees should be able to utilize effective communication with other employees, department managers and Administrator to maintain flexibility to optimize individual and organizational operations.
Employees should also understand and be in compliance with the most current confidentiality agreement provided by PHS and be willing to perform other duties as directed.
Clinical Intervention: Demonstrates the ability to appropriately asses patients, apply clinical interventions, evaluate outcomes, and implement change to the plan of care.
Performs comprehensive physical, functional and psychosocial assessment, appropriate to patient population.
Formulates implements, evaluates and revises plan of care based on assessment.
Identifies and documents educational needs. Provides resources to meet their learning needs.
Initiates Interdisciplinary collaboration to promote optimal patient care and outcomes.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize and organize delivery of care in a consistent manner.
