Position : Progressive Care RN
RN CANDIDATES MUST HAVE A MINIMUM of 2 YEARS‘ EXPERIENCE IN MEDIUM TO LARGE SIZED FACILITIES: PROGRESSIVE CARE/STEPDOWN WITH 1 YEAR MINIMAL CRITICAL CARE.
Primary assignment will be Progressive Care 4 Tower unit and may be required to float to other related / Critical Care areas.
SKILLS required to prepare for float assignment must include Vent management, along with comfort level managing patients with ventricular drains, drips including: Amniodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, pressors, etc; Central lines (CVP and AL), plus more related progressive care/critical care patient care, however no Swan Ganz maintenance. 4 Tower Progressive will have the capacity to accept COVID patients (as do other unit) which will most likely effect a change in pt:nurse ratio to average of 3:1.
MUST have OK license in hand at time of submission
MUST have BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS Stroke Certification.
EPIC experience highly desirable.
Basic orientation to System Epic platforms will be provided if unable to 'test-out' of Epic. Candidate must be able to pass basic dysrhythmia, basic hemodynamic monitoring and medication exams on first day.
Saint Francis Hospital is 1000 bed facility with wide range of specialized medical / surgical and critical care units, receiving Level I trauma patients. Previous sufficient experience in medium to large sized facilities required.
