Position : RT - Diagnostic Imaging
Monitors patient condition during procedure and notifies physician of abnormalities; assists with first aid and CPR as necessary.
Demonstrates proper procedure and critiques images to ensure accuracy and clarity for physician interpretation.
Provides staff and patient protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards.
Charts all exams on patients’ permanent medical record.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work area; cleans CT and ancillary equipment.
Transports patients to and from area.
Demonstrates competencies, including knowledge and behaviors, to meet age-specific patient needs.
Demonstrates familiarity with facility and department infection control and safety policies.
Performs duties of radiologic technologist as required.
Has a clear understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and develops and follows department policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Maintains confidentiality of patients, department and hospital.
Follows policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the Radiology Department.
Performs other related duties as assigned in order to expedite the testing process and support the achievement of department goals and objectives.
Works effectively as a team member within the department and with other units to provide quality service through communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
Expands job-related knowledge and skills to improve and adjust to change.
Participates in department CQI.
Attends Radiology Department meetings.
Attends scheduled inservices that pertain to the hospital as a whole or to the Radiology Department.
Performs any other duties as may be assigned.
Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements.
Must be able to perform general X-Ray
