Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and manage pain. The Physical Therapy Assistant will assist with exercises, therapeutic activities, and other treatments as prescribed by the therapist.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist
- Help patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength and mobility
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide feedback to the physical therapist on patients' responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- State licensure as a physical therapy assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Physical stamina to assist patients with exercises and activities
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment
