Job Title: Certified Scrub Tech
Job Summary:
As a Certified Scrub Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of a sterile surgical environment. You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and successful surgical procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare and set up operating rooms with surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
2. Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
3. Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
5. Assist with patient positioning and draping.
6. Handle specimens and deliver them to the appropriate laboratory for analysis.
7. Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after each procedure.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
9. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
3. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
4. Prior experience working as a scrub tech in a surgical setting.
5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
7. Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.
8. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
9. Basic understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
