Job Title: Medical Technologist
Job Summary: The Medical Technologist will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to healthcare providers. This role plays a key part in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Collect and analyze samples such as blood, urine, and tissue for clinical laboratory testing.
2. Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests using equipment and techniques to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure proper functioning.
4. Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
5. Follow quality control and safety procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
6. Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and provide valuable insights.
7. Stay updated on new testing methods and technologies to improve laboratory efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
2. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in test results.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of laboratory regulations and compliance standards.
