Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals in healthcare settings. CNAs work under the supervision of registered nurses and assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, and monitoring patient vital signs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing basic medical care, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily medications
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient behavior or health condition to nursing staff
- Assisting with patient mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and proper lifting techniques
- Ensuring patient rooms are clean and organized, and stocking supplies as needed
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients during their stay
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CNA certification in the state of employment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Compassion and empathy for patients in need of care
