Job Title: RN - Acute Care
Job Summary:
As an RN in Acute Care, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and administer medications. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care during their hospital stay.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on proper care techniques and follow-up procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures for patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in acute care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
