Job Title: Medical Technologist
Job Summary:
The Medical Technologist will perform clinical laboratory procedures in various areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis. They will be responsible for conducting tests, analyzing results, and reporting findings to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform complex laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
2. Prepare specimens for analysis and maintain proper records of all tests performed.
3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols.
4. Identify and report any anomalies or discrepancies in test results.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
6. Adhere to all safety and quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the laboratory.
8. Stay current with new developments in the field of medical technology and laboratory science.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
2. Certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized accrediting agency.
3. Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting.
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and computer systems.
