Job Title: RN ICU (Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit)
Job Summary:
As an RN in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and high-stress environment. You will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about their conditions and treatment options
- Provide emotional support and ensure the comfort of patients and families during difficult times
- Document all patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
