Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER)
Job Summary:
As an RN in the ER, you will be responsible for providing care to patients who are in need of immediate medical attention. Your role will involve assessing patients, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in critical situations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on the severity of their condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms, and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients in the ER
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- At least 1 year of experience working in an emergency room setting
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
