Job Summary:
A Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by operating x-ray and other imaging equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures and provide high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms.
2. Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure their safety and comfort.
3. Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
4. Monitor patients during imaging procedures and document relevant information.
5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
2. ARRT certification in radiography.
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
