Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility, you will be responsible for providing quality care to elderly or disabled patients who require ongoing assistance with daily activities. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses and support the overall health and well-being of residents in a long-term care setting.
**Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction**
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
2. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
3. Assist with medical treatments and procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
4. Help residents with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
5. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
7. Report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff.
8. Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients.
8. Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.
