Job Description

Job Title: RN Med Surg

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, holistic care to patients admitted to the medical surgical unit. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to patient advocacy.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Med Surg unit

- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed

- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

- Educating patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies

- Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and timely

- Responding to medical emergencies and providing professional nursing care in crisis situations

- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients

Qualifications and Skills:

- Current RN license in the state of practice

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med Surg setting

- BLS and ACLS certification required

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning

Notes:

Temporary RN license accepted prior to start.
ND RN Graduate Work Authorization considered prior to start. The RN Graduate Work Authorization is valid for up to 90 days after issue or upon notification of the NCLEX results, whichever occurs first.
Must hold an unencumbered nursing license  prior to start.
