Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. Your primary role will be to assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Helping patients with mobility and transferring to and from bed or wheelchair
- Assisting with feeding and maintaining proper nutrition
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of patient care services provided
- Following infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices
