Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct care to patients in a healthcare facility under the supervision of a registered nurse. CNAs assist patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, and also help with monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Assist with transferring patients to and from their beds or wheelchairs
- Help patients with range of motion exercises
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CNA certification
- CPR certification
- Strong communication skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients
