Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (RN ER)
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for providing quality care to patients in urgent and critical situations. The RN ER assesses patient needs, administers medication, and collaborates with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate patients' conditions and provide appropriate medical care.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and provide ongoing assessments.
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
5. Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions.
6. Educate patients and their families on healthcare needs and treatment plans.
7. Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
8. Ensure adherence to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
3. BLS and ACLS certification.
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
