Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in critical condition. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and coordinate treatment plans in the intensive care unit.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and condition in the ICU.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
4. Operate and maintain medical equipment in the ICU.
5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
6. Respond to emergencies and provide rapid and effective interventions as needed.
7. Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and timely.
8. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing.
4. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and in high-stress environments.
8. Proficiency in electronic medical records and charting systems.
