Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will work under the supervision of nurses to provide basic care to patients in healthcare settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily activities, monitor patient health, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating
2. Take and record vital signs
3. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
4. Help patients with mobility and transfers
5. Follow care plans created by nurses
6. Keep patient rooms clean and organized
7. Document and report any changes in patient condition
8. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide the best possible care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
6. Compassionate and patient demeanor
7. Basic computer skills
8. Physical stamina to assist with lifting and moving patients
9. Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team
