Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing basic care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Your primary goal will be to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients by assisting them with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and eating, as well as monitoring their vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with daily tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Help patients eat and drink, and ensure they are receiving proper nutrition
- Take and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, such as changing bandages and administering medications
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms and equipment
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Report any changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CNA certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Empathy and compassion for patients
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients
