Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Job Summary:
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. LPNs assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team
4. Provide wound care and other treatments as needed
5. Assist with patient hygiene and personal care tasks
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
7. Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
9. Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations
10. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current LPN license in the state of practice
2. Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
5. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
6. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
7. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
8. Basic computer skills
9. CPR certification
10. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
