Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (CNA-LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing basic care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Your primary role will be to assist patients with activities of daily living and provide emotional and social support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers
- Take and record vital signs
- Assist with transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs or other areas
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report any concerns to nursing staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow all facility policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
