Job Title: RN-Oncology
Job Summary:
As an RN-Oncology, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients undergoing treatment for cancer. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care and support throughout their cancer journey.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer chemotherapy and other cancer treatments as directed by physicians
- Monitor patients for side effects and complications related to treatment
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis and treatment options
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently
- Stay up to date on the latest advancements in cancer treatment and care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
- Certification in Oncology Nursing (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
