Job Title: Registered Nurse - Long Term Care (RN-LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to elderly or disabled patients who require extended medical care in a long-term care facility. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing patients' conditions and creating care plans
- Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Monitoring and documenting patients' progress
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
- Educating patients and their families on health management and prevention strategies
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
