Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing quality and compassionate nursing care to residents who require long-term assistance with daily living activities. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and ensure the overall well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing and evaluating the health status of residents
2. Developing and implementing individualized care plans
3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
4. Monitoring and recording vital signs and overall health status
5. Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal care outcomes
6. Providing emotional support and compassionate care to residents and their families
7. Educating residents and families on health management and disease prevention
8. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
9. Adhering to all regulatory guidelines and policies
10. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting
3. BLS certification
4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
8. Proficiency in electronic health records systems
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Compassionate and empathetic nature towards residents and their families
