Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients to help them overcome physical, mental, or developmental challenges that affect their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. Your goal will be to help individuals increase their independence and improve their quality of life through therapeutic interventions and personalized treatment plans.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify clients' strengths, limitations, and occupational performance goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address clients' specific needs
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as exercise programs, activities of daily living training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for clients
- Monitor clients' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and education
- Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience working with diverse populations and age groups
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and current trends in occupational therapy
