Job Title: Ultrasound Technician
Job Summary:
As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic medical ultrasound examinations for patients. You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture images and provide accurate interpretations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Perform ultrasound examinations on patients according to physician orders.
2. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them properly.
3. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure quality images are obtained.
4. Analyze images to accurately diagnose and document findings.
5. Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
6. Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree or higher in diagnostic medical sonography.
2. Registered or eligible for registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
3. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
