Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (CNA-LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and help maintain a clean and safe environment for them.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Help residents with eating and drinking, and assist with feeding as needed.
3. Provide assistance with transferring and mobility, using proper techniques to prevent injuries.
4. Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
5. Keep accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
6. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to promote their well-being.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards residents.
6. Physical stamina to lift and move residents as needed.
