Title: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Globe, AZ 85501

Job Description:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or respiratory therapist is an individual trained in the technical aspects of respiratory care and will exhibit those skills and deliver modalities of respiratory therapy, emergent and intensive respiratory care, and diagnostic procedures. Work hours are 24 hour coverage rotational, day or night shifts, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime. Facility currently has a low COVID census.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory health and review medical histories.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and medical conditions.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medication administration, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patients' responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Arizona.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have two (2) years of experience in respiratory care at a general/acute hospital.
• Must have and maintain a current valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Shift:

• 7:00 PM -7:00 AM (Nights)
  

Pay Package:

• Weekly gross: $1980
• Hourly pay: $55
• On W2: $22.75
• Stipend: $1162
