Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in Clarkston, WA. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapies and treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation, as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' respiratory status and response to therapy, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing, to assess lung function and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure patient and staff safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Washington.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in respiratory therapy.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay Package Breakdown:
- Weekly Stipend: $2550 for 36 hours
- Stipend: $1162
- On W2: 38.5 hours
