Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence in their daily activities. The role involves creating treatment plans, implementing therapeutic exercises, and monitoring progress towards goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in evaluating patients' functional abilities
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapist to develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and independence
- Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
- Document patients' progress and communicate with healthcare team members
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in healthcare practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a COTA
- State licensure to practice as a COTA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to patient care
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude towards patient treatment
