Job Title: Operating Room Nurse (RN OR)
Shift: 12hrs Shift | Duration: 13 WEEKS | Location: Wenatchee, WA
Job Summary:
The Operating Room Nurse (RN OR) is responsible for providing care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room. They work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of patients throughout the surgical process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and assist with surgical procedures by setting up the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment is available, and helping to position the patient
- Monitor the patient's vital signs during surgery and assist the surgeon as needed
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including monitoring their recovery and managing pain
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and follow-up appointments
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
