Job Title: RN Cath Lab
Shift: 10 hr Days Shift
Duration: 13 WEEKS
Location: State College, PA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) team. The RN will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This includes assisting the cardiologist during procedures, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after the procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist cardiologists in performing cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or complications
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Educate patients and their families about the procedure and recovery process
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the Cath Lab equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of the Cath Lab environment
- Document patient care and procedure details accurately
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- 2+ years of experience working in a Cath Lab setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
