Job Summary:
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures such as x-rays on patients to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality images for accurate patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain the process to alleviate any concerns.
2. Position patients correctly to obtain clear and accurate images.
3. Operate x-ray equipment and other imaging machinery to capture images of the body.
4. Monitor patient safety during procedures and adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
5. Maintain accurate patient records and image documentation.
6. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to analyze and interpret images.
7. Assist with patient scheduling and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
2. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
3. State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
7. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
