Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse Operating Room (RN OR), you will be responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. You will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients in the operating room.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess patients' preoperative and postoperative conditions
2. Assist in surgical procedures by providing direct patient care
3. Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery
4. Administer medications as prescribed by the surgeon
5. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care
6. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
7. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures in the OR
9. Participate in continuing education and training programs
10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the surgical process
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS certification
3. MA RN certification
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
7. Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
8. Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care
9. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
10. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
