Job title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (CNA-LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will provide basic care to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. You will assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal care to ensure the comfort and well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Help residents with mobility by transferring and positioning them as needed.
3. Serve meals and assist residents with feeding, if necessary.
4. Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
5. Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
6. Assist with activities and social programs to promote residents' well-being.
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
8. Document care provided and communicate any important information to the nursing team.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active CNA certification in the state of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
