Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will be responsible for providing direct care to patients in long-term care facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare settings. Your primary role will be to assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor their health status, and provide emotional support.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
2. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff
3. Help patients with mobility and transfer tasks, including using assistive devices
4. Provide emotional support to patients and their families
5. Assist with meal preparation and feeding
6. Keep accurate records of patient care activities
7. Follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
8. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active CNA certification
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
5. Strong attention to detail
6. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
7. Ability to lift and move patients safely
8. Knowledge of basic medical terminology
9. CPR certification
