Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), your role will involve providing basic care to patients in healthcare facilities. You will work under the supervision of nurses and medical staff to ensure patients' well-being and assist with daily activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Help transfer patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or other mobility devices.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical staff.
4. Assist with feeding and oral care for patients who need assistance.
5. Keep patients' rooms clean and organized.
6. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
7. Follow care plans developed by nurses and medical staff.
8. Document and report any observations or concerns regarding patients' condition.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
7. Physical stamina to lift and move patients when necessary.
8. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
