Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. Your primary goal will be to assist residents with daily living activities and ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating
- Monitoring and recording vital signs and patient information
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Assisting with medical procedures and treatments as directed by nursing staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
- Reporting any changes in a resident's condition to the nursing staff
- Following all facility policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of care for residents
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in a long term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from licensed nursing staff
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
