Job title: Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: The Long Term Care CNA is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients in long-term care facilities. They assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient vital signs, and ensure the overall comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Assisting with medical procedures under the supervision of a nurse
- Following care plans and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
- Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current certification as a CNA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
