Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for providing basic care to patients in healthcare facilities. Your primary duty will be to assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor their vital signs, and communicate any changes to the nursing staff. You will play a key role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Feeding and assisting patients with eating
3. Monitoring and documenting vital signs
4. Turning and repositioning bedridden patients
5. Assisting with mobility and transfers
6. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
7. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
8. Following care plans and reporting any changes in patient condition to nursing staff
9. Adhering to all healthcare regulations and safety standards
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for patients
7. Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and transfers
8. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
9. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
