Job Title: Intensive Care/Coronary Nurse
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care/Coronary Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in critical condition, particularly those with heart-related issues. This includes monitoring and assessing patients, administering medications, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and overall condition
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or cardiac nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
