Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care)
Job Summary:
As a CNA in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. Your primary focus will be on assisting residents with activities of daily living and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Monitoring and recording vital signs.
3. Assisting with meal preparation and feeding residents as needed.
4. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
5. Turning and repositioning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores.
6. Assisting with range of motion exercises and other rehabilitation activities.
7. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
8. Reporting any changes in residents' condition to nursing staff.
9. Following facility policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in the state of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
