Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (LTC)
Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility is responsible for providing basic nursing care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA plays a key role in maintaining the physical and emotional well-being of residents and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Turning and repositioning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
- Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Assisting with mobility and exercise routines
- Feeding residents who are unable to feed themselves
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Documenting care provided and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and empathy for elderly and disabled individuals
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina to lift and move residents
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
