Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their health and well-being, and provide emotional support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Monitoring residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
3. Helping residents with eating, drinking, and other daily activities
4. Turning and repositioning bedridden residents to prevent bedsores
5. Assisting residents with walking and transferring to and from wheelchairs
6. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
7. Keeping residents' living areas clean and organized
8. Documenting all care provided to residents in their medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Current certification as a CNA in the state of employment
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Compassion and empathy for residents and their families
7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
