Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care)
Job Summary:
The CNA LTC assists residents with activities of daily living in a long-term care facility, providing compassionate care and promoting their overall well-being. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, patience, and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for elderly or disabled individuals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
2. Help residents with eating, drinking, and maintaining proper nutrition
3. Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
4. Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
5. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote emotional well-being
6. Follow care plans and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
7. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
8. Respect residents' privacy and dignity at all times
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active CNA certification in the state of employment
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Prior experience in a long-term care setting preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
6. Physical stamina and ability to lift and move residents as needed
7. Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and medical terminology
